Explicit Essentials – Samantha Daly

Tell us all about your creations!
At Explicit Essentials, we create bath and body products with a twist—every label features a sassy curse word. They’re the perfect self-care gifts for that one friend who needs a little pick-me-up (with a side of attitude).

How, where, and why did the inspiration come to you for these creations?
It all started when I was on the hunt for a gift to help a friend de-stress. I couldn’t find anything that really hit the mark, so I decided to DIY it. The result was a cute, funny little treat that was a big hit. From there, the idea snowballed into Explicit Essentials.

Who are your biggest influences?
I’m inspired by women in business and lady leaders who are out there killing it. There’s something so empowering about seeing other women succeed, and it drives me to keep pushing forward.

Tell us about your favorite medium.
Sugar scrubs are my absolute favorite to make. The textures, the scents—they’re just so much fun to create and use.

What motivates you to create?
Women motivate me. So many of our products are bought by women as gifts for other women. I love that someone sees one of our products and thinks, “Oh, I know someone who needs this!” That connection makes everything worth it.

Which trends inspire your current work?
There’s a big trend toward self-care content on social media right now, and we’re all about it. We want to be part of your zen routine, adding a little sass and a lot of care.

What do you hope to achieve with your work?
I’m looking to expand Explicit Essentials and keep bringing smiles and self-care to people—just on a bigger scale.

Do you support a cause or nonprofit, and why?
Yes! Every year, we raise donations for several charities, with our favorites being The Trevor Project and Women for Women International. These causes are close to our hearts.

Lastly, if you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Teleportation, hands down. I’d love to see the world but never experience another airport again.
