This poster was originally produced for a 1961 appearance by Marty Robbins and the Tear Drops Band. Counting Johnny Cash, The Grateful Dead, and Elvis Presley among the many artists who have covered Marty Robbins' songs, conveys his broad appeal and popularity. His crossover into NASCAR racing as a driver and his acting support it. The use of his songs in a video game and popular television show in the second decade of the twenty-first century cement it. The poster features one of the splashier Grand Ole Opry banners, which includes music notes in the design. Hatch Show Print has made many variations of the Opry banner, through the near-century that the Grand Ole Opry has been in existence and a client/customer of the shop.
